Meet Betsy:

Credentials and Background Experience:

I hold a Master’s degree in Marital Family Therapy from the University of San Diego.

Much of my clinical training took place within UCSD's Reproductive Mental Health Program, where I supported women across the perinatal period, including experiences of infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and postpartum. Alongside this work, I trained in a couples therapy group practice, supporting couples navigating infertility, relationship transitions, infidelity, and communication challenges. I continue this work in my private practice in Encinitas.

How I got here…

Born and raised in San Diego, I studied Journalism and Advertising at the University of Colorado Boulder (Go Buffs!). After graduation, I spent several years in sales and marketing before finding my way to Make-A-Wish San Diego. My time there was deeply meaningful and ultimately became a turning point in my career. I was moved by the resilience of children and families navigating critical illness, and I felt increasingly passionate to support people in a more personal and relational way. This experience led me to pursue a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of San Diego.

How I can help you…

Whether you’re looking for individual support, couple’s therapy or the strength of a community, I’m here to help you get clear on what matters most to you and how to honor that.
